Composites & Carbon Fibre

Composites are used in the manufacture of a variety of products such as aeroplanes, racing cars, fishing rods, tennis rackets, bicycles and increasingly automobiles.

Composite can be pre-preg, where the resin is already part of the textile, or dry cloth.

Often woven it is also available as unidirectional cloth where the fibres run in one direction.

The fibres could be carbon, aramid, Kevlar or glass.

Most composites are expensive and manual cutting with a knife is the traditional method of cutting.
